Our Declaration

Scottish Patriots have been resisting the domination and exploitation of our country by England and her servants, almost without interruption, since the death of King Alexander III on March 18th 1286.

We are some of the present day practitioners of that resistance, and we are as determined as our ancestors that Scotland shall one day be free from our oppressive neighbour. We take as our constitution 'The Declaration of Arbroath', and we are sworn to uphold the right of every Scot to the freedoms guaranteed in that sacred document. No Scottish Patriot will ever agree to the imposition of any 'government' that does not accept, or fails to adhere to, all the principles the Declaration of Arbroath established as being essential for any legally constituted Scottish Government. It is therefore our view that the administrations in Holy Rood and the Palace of Westminster can never be considered by any Scottish Patriot as anything other than illegal assemblies, designed specifically to deny Scotland and her people their sovereign rights. We will oppose anyone who seeks to act in such fashion with all the strengths that we possess, using any means at our disposal.

All Scottish Patriots are aware that empires only ever relinquish control over peoples and territory because of economic expediency or military necessity. Neither of these conditions has yet been reached in our homeland. They are likely to be far in the future. We dedicate ourselves to bringing an end to our neighbour’s stranglehold over our affairs long before we are beggared by her voracious greed! We are engaged in a protracted struggle with an aggressive imperialist enemy, but we shall never in any way submit to her domination over our nation and territory.
