Posters.
Posters should be of a reasonable
size, (minimum being A5) and should contain a maximum of eight words. (Studies
reveal that most people don't read beyond this number!).
You can duplicate most of the leaflet distribution method on posters, although
these take longer to staple up
A faster method of poster placement is to use a mix of heavy-duty wallpaper adhesive and a sponge! Your mix should be contained within a suitable receptacle, and this must include a lid! Try the larger sized ice cream containers.
To place a poster is simplicity itself. Dip your sponge into your wallpaper mix and wipe it over your targeted surface, apply a poster to the prepared surface and wipe over it. Job done! If you have two operatives divide the task between them, one sponging and one postering.
If you have trouble with people removing your works you should substitute a mixture of clear varnish and white spirit for the wallpaper paste, (two parts varnish, one part white spirit), as, when dry this is extremely difficult to remove! If you start early this mix should be dry by daylight.
For high posting you might like to
try using an extending pole and brush. These are quite easy to conceal and
are readily adaptable to your particular need by the use of a hacksaw. Your
method of posting will be slightly different; First, prepare your surface,
then place your poster onto the brush head, printed side down, before applying
it to your prepared surface and brushing over.
