ANDREW NEILL MACINTOSH

1955 - 2004

It is with great sadness that we announce that on the 18th October 2004 the Scottish Patriots suffered the tragic loss of one of its founding members ANDREW NEILL MACINTOSH (TOSH) within Her Majesties Prison (Craiginches) Aberdeen Scotland.

His death came 9 days after he was arrested with two other men whilst travelling to the gathering on Calton Hill Edinburgh. This Alternative Gathering was in opposistion to the official opening of the Scottish Parliment building.

Once in custody all three men were charged with the possession of firearms and explosives. These charges have been consistently denied. To this date, no weapons or explosives have been recovered nor ever produced by Grampian Police Force.

TOSH was a lifelong Patriot and dedicated to Scottish Independence. A former member of the Scottish National Liberation Army, he served 12 years for actions against the British State. Upon his release in 1999, and having renounced violence, he tried to start new beginnings in Aberdeen.

Despite continuing harassment and intimidation by the British State, TOSH along with several others re-launched the Scottish Patriots in April 2004, originally founded by Wendy Wood. On the 6th April 2005 the fatal accident enquiry in Aberdeen returned a verdict of suicide.

Due to Tosh's previous history and activities, fellow patriots hold grave misgivings and doubts concerning the nature of his death.

Tosh will be greatly missed and a sad loss to family, fellow patriots and the cause of Scotland's liberation.

He chose a path few dare to follow, but his sacrifice should be an inspiration to all Scotland's patriots.
